(Aeon Labs) Pairing The 4-in-1 MultiSensor

Last Updated: May 28, 2013 01:20PM PDT
To add the 4-in-1 multisensor to your Vera system, you must first pair it to your Smart Controller.  This is a one-time process that takes just a moment.

To Pair With The VeraLite Smart Controller:

Tap the "+" button on your VeraLite and you will see the "Ready" light blinking once per second.

The VeraLite is now in "pairing" mode and ready to recognize the door/window module.

To Pair With The Vera3 Smart Controller

Press the "Z-Wave" button on the front panel.  You will see the green "Z-Wave" light flash once per second.

The Vera3 is now in "pairing" mode and ready to recognize the door/window module.

Now bring the multisensor to within 3 feet of your Vera Smart Controller and remove the back cover of the multisensor, so that you can see the batteries, as shown below:

While the Smart Controller is in Pairing mode (ie, the pairing lights are slowly flashing), press the small "Z-Wave" button on the back of the multisensor.  Your Smart Controller's pairing light will flash quickly to show that the multisensor was recognized, and then return to flashing slowly.  Press the pairing button on your Smart Controller for a count of 3 to save the pairing.  The ready light on your Smart Controller should now be solid and not blinking.  The multisensor has now been paired.

The multisensor should now appear in your Dashboard Devices as shown below:

NOTE:  You'll know that the pairing was successful if you press the "Z-Wave" button on the back of your multisensor.  If the pairing was successful, the red indicator light on the multisensor will light up solid for a few seconds.  If the pairing was not successful, the red light will blink when you push the multisensor's Z-Wave button.  If pairing was unsuccessful on the first attempt, try pairing it again, using the above instructions.
