Even though it doesn't use Wi-Fi signals, your VeraLite easily connects to your existing Wi-Fi router. If you don't already have a Wi-Fi router don't worry, you can also connect your VeraLite directly to your broadband modem (or a wired gateway or switch) with the supplied Ethernet cable.
If you already have a working Wi-Fi router, use this connection to simply add VeraLite's control capabilities to your existing Wi-Fi system. Use the supplied Ethernet cable to connect VeraLite to one of your existing Wi-Fi router's open connection ports. Connect the VeraLite power adapter into its 12V power receptacle, and then into an AC electrical outlet.
Wait for the, lighted LED indicators for Power, Ready and Network to be lit and not blinking. Please allow up to 2 minutes for this initial boot up. When the lights are solid, your VeraLite is now properly connected to your Wi-Fi router and ready for next configuration steps.
Once you've successfully connected your VeraLite to your home network, you're ready to set up an account that gives you secure access to your VeraLite system.
Note: If the indicators won't light up solid or you see the red Error light come on, consult the troubleshooting section.
