First familiarize yourself with the front panel of the ZTS-100 smart thermostat.
Since the thermostat was likely installed in the wall by the time you're ready to pair, and because the thermostat may not be located near your Smart Controller, you'll want to use "battery mode" on your Smart Controller and bring it near the thermostat (within 3 feet) to pair the thermostat with your system.
First put your Smart Controller into Battery Mode:
If you have a VeraLite Smart Controller, click here for instructions on how to enter battery mode.
If you have a Vera3 Smart Controller, click here for instructions on how to enter battery mode.
Now that you've brought the Smart Controller to the thermostat, you're ready to pair:
To Pair With The VeraLite Smart Controller:
Tap the "+" button on your VeraLite and you will see the "Ready" light blinking once per second.
The VeraLite is now in "pairing" mode and ready to recognize the door/window module.
To Pair With The Vera3 Smart Controller
Press the "Z-Wave" button on the front panel. You will see the green "Z-Wave" light flash once per second.
The Vera3 is now in "pairing" mode and ready to recognize the door/window module.
Put the ZTS-100 Into pairing mode:
Your Smart Controller should already be in pairing mode now. Put the ZTS-100 into pairing mode by pressing the "Home" button on the front of the ZTS-100 as shown, and holding it for 2 seconds:
Now follow these steps;
The "ready" light on your Vera Smart Controller will flash quickly during the pairing, then return to blinking slowly, once per second. When you're done:
If you have a VeraLite, press the "+" button for 3 seconds to save your settings, then return it to its usual powered location.
If you have a Vera3, press the "Z-Wave" button for 3 seconds to save your settings, then return it to its usual powered location.
The ZTS-100 thermostat has now been paired with your Vera system. It should show up on your Dashboard under "Devices', in the "Cimate" menu as shown:
